Juan Pedro Jiménez del Dedo
I am Juan Pedro Jiménez del Dedo, a practising lawyer and member of the Málaga Bar Association for more than fifteen years. Throughout my professional career, which I began by preparing for the judiciary, I have held the positions of prosecutor and judge, which has allowed me to acquire a comprehensive understanding of how the Administration of Justice works and to bring a technical and strategic approach to every case.
My professional practice focuses mainly on Criminal Law, both in less serious cases such as traffic offences, property offences such as theft and fraud, or offences related to gender-based violence, and in serious and complex cases such as drug trafficking, money laundering, assault, economic crimes and financial offences. I also have solid experience in Civil Law, especially in areas such as family law, leases, contracts, inheritance and property rights.
I understand the practice of law as a way of contributing my knowledge and experience to society, especially to its most vulnerable members. For this reason, I have been part of the legal aid system for more than nine years, working in the areas of criminal law, civil law, gender-based violence, serious criminal cases, minors and immigration. This experience has strengthened my commitment to the effective defence of my clients’ interests, continuous training and my ability to handle complex proceedings with rigour and solvency.
I conceive legal practice as work based on personal involvement, rigorous study of each case and clear communication with the client. My way of working is grounded in essential values such as loyalty, transparency and approachability, always offering honest advice adapted to the legal reality of each situation.
